Asterisk was established in 2010 as a family run Handicraft Company with the view of promoting the Nepali handicraft industry while providing employment opportunities to the deprived, underprivileged community people, especially women and ethnic groups by making them socially and economically empowered, offering them various benefits such as health care and education for their children. Thus, our company leads them to live a standard life i.e by training them, making them skilled for the job in the company.

Started with few family members and few women artists, currently it has 130 regular employees among which 15 are management staff and the rest are in the production line. Among the total 130 human resources, 75% are women. Besides, Asterisk also has 2 local producer groups who supply us with high quality felt and Natural products . The company believes in diversification and therefore has people from various social, religious and ethnic backgrounds from different parts of the country.
Our major international markets are America, UK, Canada, Germany, Netherland, Latvia, Japan, Australia, Denmark and many other emerging markets around the world.
Our company manufactures and exports high quality felt handmade products at reasonable cost to clients all around the globe. We offer wide varieties of felt products like felt balls, felt ball rugs, felt purses, felt bags, felt shoes and slippers, felt garlands, felt animals, felt hats, felt christmas items, felt hobby crafts, felt toys, felt yarns, and tibetan singing bowls, incense, etc. All our products are environmentally friendly and sustainable. Our felt wool products come in a wide range of colour options to make the products look attractive and premium. Also, we offer custom colours and designs as per requirements.
